One Victim Recovered From Amnicon Lake Structure Fire

On Wednesday morning, 10-15-2025 at 7:54am, emergency responders and crews from multiple volunteer fire departments were dispatched 7925S Finn Point Rd on Amnicon Lake for a fully involved structure fire. When the fire was put out, the body of an individual was located in the basement apartment of the cabin. It is believed to be that of the lone occupant, a 71 year old male.
Responding to this incident was the Douglas County Sheriff's and Medical Examiner's Offices, Mayo Ambulance, Volunteers from the Summit, Town of Superior, Oakland, and Dairyland Fire Departments. The identity of the victim is withheld at this time pending positive identification by Midwest Medical in Anoka County, MN.
