On Monday evening April 28, 2025 at about 9:30pm, deputies from the Douglas County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a residence in the Patzau-Foxboro area in Douglas County for a report of a missing 12-year-old.

On arrival, deputies were told that the youth had been missing for about a half hour, after failing to come in from completing chores.  Several searches were conducted using drones, K9's and assistance from the Town of Summitt VFD. Search activities were suspended at about 2am and resumed in the morning.

Searchers from several area agencies conducted operations throughout the day.  The boy eventually returned home at about 6pm.  At this time, it is still unclear where he was, however foul play is not suspected.
