A Duluth man is dead as a result of a car-pedestrian crash that occurred Friday night 8-7-2015 in the Town of Wascott.

The crash was reported at 11:20pm on CTH T near Apple Lake Rd. Dense fog was reported at the time.

The victim is identified as Eric L. Madrid, 40, of Duluth. He had been walking down the middle of CTH T when he was struck by a Ford Explorer operated by 49yr-old Ann Murray of Superior. Madrid was taken by ambulance to a Duluth hospital where he died of his injuries late Monday afternoon.

Murray was arrested for Operating After Revocation (causing injury) and Operating While Intoxicated (3rd Offense).

Circumstances surrounding this crash are still under investigation by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
