One Injured in Saturday Afternoon Crash

At 2:37pm, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office responded to a two-car crash at CTH Y and USH 53 in Gordon.

A 1990 Chrysler New Yorker, driven by Robert Lewis, 57, South Range, was northbound on USH 53 in the construction zone at CTH Y when a 2006 Chevy Silverado, driven by Jesse Severin, 33, Superior, pulled out from the EB stop sign at CTH Y and into the driver's side of the New Yorker.

Lewis was transported to an area hospital by Gordon-Wascott Ambulance Service.  The Gordon Volunteer Fire Department also assisted at the scene.

Motorists are urged to slow down and pay extra attention while traveling through construction zones.
