The victim from the house fire in the Village of Superior is identified as Nathan R. Schwanangel, 38.

     Schwanangel was the sole occupant of the home located at 6528 John Ave.  The fire was reported by neighbors at 4:23am on May 10, 2024.  He was removed from the burning house by Superior Fire Department personnel and brought outside where attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.

     The State Fire Marshall's Office of the WI Division of Criminal Investigation is assisting the Sheriff's Office and the Superior Fire Department in the investigation.
