Authorities recovered the body of a 71 year old woman from Lake Amnicon this morning.

A 911 call was received at 859 am to the Finn Point Rd area of Lake Amnicon where it was reported the woman went swimming earlier and could not be located.

Her body was recovered in shallow water about 100 yards south of the dock where she entered the water.

Foul play is not suspected; the matter remains under investigation by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office and the Douglas County Medical Examiner.
