Louis M. Bannick was born in Superior, 1916. He graduated from East High School and attended George Washington University in Washington D.C. During WWII, Louis was a U.S. Army Corporal stationed in Anzio, Italy. He worked for the Great Northern Railroad, and later he held Deputy, Undersheriff, and Sheriff positions in Douglas County. Louis was a member of the Cathedral of Christ the King Church, Knights of Columbus, and the Elks Club. He married, had two children, and spent his retirement years between Mesa, AZ and Lake Nebagamon, WI.
